Choghadiya is time during day which may be auspicious or inauspicious.Generally it is used to see travel time.It is also used to see favourable time to start new work.Since its really very simple to use its very much popular.Choghadiya is simple way to know auspiciousness of day.There are two types of Choghadiya.Day Choghadiya and Night Choghadiya.
Day Choghadiya is  time between sunrise  and sunset.There are total 8 Choghadiya in a day. Amrit,Shubh,Labh, and Chal are considered to be auspicious respectively.Amrit is considered to be best Choghadiya.Chal is good.
Night Choghadiya is time between sunset and sunrise.There are total 8 Choghadiya in a Night.Rog,Kaal,Udveg, are considered to be inauspicious respectively.

There are total 16 Choghadiya; 8 for day and 8 for night.One Ghadi is equals 24 minutes,so 4 ghadi or Choghadiya is about one hour and thirty minutes.

It is different for everyday.For day Choghadiya time between sunrise and sunset is taken then divided by 8.This comes to roughly 90 mins.So when added to sunrise time we get first day choghadiya.Example sunrise time is 06:00 am adding 90 mins comes to 07:30 .So first choghadiya starts from 06:00 am and ends 07:30am.When again 90 mins is added to 07:30 its 09:00 so second choghadiya starts from 07:30 am and ends at 09:00am.So is with night choghadiya.Now looking in given day choghadiya we see on monday first choghadiya is Amrit and second choghadiya is Kaal.so here first is best and second is not good or bad choghadiya.
